FAQ

At Evolve North Coffee Roasters, we treat coffee recipes not as fixed formulas but as adaptable guides. The unique character of water at each location—shaped by its mineral content and other dissolved particles—interacts distinctively with coffee. This interaction, along with personal taste preferences, means that the perfect espresso recipe is as individual as the café itself.

That’s why our approach is hands-on and tailored. We set up our recipes on-site, using your café’s specific equipment and water supply to finely tune the brew to perfection. This method ensures that we craft a recipe that resonates with your espresso’s optimal flavour profile and your customers’ palates.

  1. Immediate Use: Aim to use your coffee beans as soon as possible after opening the bag to maintain peak freshness and flavour.

  2. Short-Term Storage: If you need to store the beans overnight:

    • Choose a cool, dark, and dry location.
    • Avoid areas prone to temperature fluctuations, such as near ovens or windows.
  3. Airtight Containers: Transfer the beans into an airtight container to minimise air exposure. Consider options like:

    • Vacuum-sealed containers with pumps to extract air.
    • Food storage containers with tight-sealing lids.
  4. Avoid Refrigeration: It’s generally not advisable to refrigerate your coffee beans as this can introduce moisture and odours.

  5. Keep in Small Quantities: Store beans in small amounts to ensure you’re only opening what you’ll use promptly, keeping the rest sealed.

  6. Light Protection: Use opaque containers if possible to protect beans from light, which can degrade the quality.
